OBJECTIVE
This two-phase coaching training will focus on creating a culture of continuous improvement targeting student learning and the use of highly qualified coaches skilled at working with people during this time of great educational change. Phase I will include a two-day leadership and instructional coaching training in August. Phase II will be a series of (4) half-day sessions during the 2014-15 school year devoted to Implementation Coach Training for both the State Model and CESA 6 Model Educator Effectiveness systems.

TRAINING OUTCOMES
• Articulate the role of a coach and distinguish how it is different from the mentor, consultant, and trainer
• Identify strength based approaches for working with people
• Engage in comprehensive listening as an essential skill
• Practice coaching strategies to be used in implementation of both Educator Effectiveness Models
• Explore and practice essential coaching skills through knowledge and practice of emotional intelligence, appreciative inquiry, building trust, and using open-ended questions
• Assess and analyze their skills and make continuous improvement in their coaching performances through-out the sessions by working with a Master Coach
• Create a future action plan at the end of the training as a commitment to use and grow in the skills acquired in the sessions
• And too many more to list!

Dates:
