The Psychology of Emotion in Restorative Practice: How Affect Script Psychology Explains How and Why Restorative Practice Works
ISBN: 978-1849059749

This book explains Affective Script Psychology (ASP) and how the central nervous system triggers the affects, which are the basis of all human motivation and emotion. The book presents a clear explanation of what ASP is, how it relates to restorative practices(RP), and how ASP helps practitioners understand relationships, emotions, and dynamics in their work.
The chapters are based around case studies that demon-strate RP in educational, criminal justice and organizational settings.
Discussion sessions will be organized by the parts of the book:

• Part 1: The Theory Underpinning Restorative Justice - Affect Script Psychology

• Part 2: The Theory in Action in Communities and the Criminal Justice Setting

• Part 3: The Theory in Action in Organizational Settings

• Part 4: The Theory in Action in Education

Join this online book club for discussion and activities on how theory links to PRACTICE and discover how a deep understanding of theory has helped practitioners to be successful in their work.
