UDL - Universal Design fo Learning
UDL promotes equity and success for all students as a way to ensure access to, and benefit from, high-quality instruction. UDL is rooted in the architectural theory of universal design. It was developed as an educational framework based on scientific research into how people learn. It calls for curriculum to be designed from the start in a flexible format that accommodates individual learning styles and limitations.
We will learn from Emilie Dahm, Director of Student Services, and one of the Sheboygan Falls UDL Coaches, about the components of UDL support inclusive services for your students with IEP’s, including those with speech and language services. They will speak to how implementing UDL practices can open the doors of the classroom for more collaborative and inclusive services.
