Caregiver-Infant Attachment through Attunement
January 22, 2019
CESA 10 Conference Center
CARE Series: The first session being offered on January 22, 2019, will introduce what we hope to be a series (CARE) promoting social-emotional development and infant mental help within a parallel process. The first topic of the series is Caregiver-Infant Attachment Through Attunement.
Topic One Description: Secure attachment is a foundation to healthy social emotional development. Caregivers must be attuned to their infants in order for this to occur. Using the lens of Infant Mental Health, we will explore ways in which we can promote and foster attachment through attunement in the parents and caregivers we coach every day. Leaders will discuss how they use the Newborn Behavioral Observations (NBO) in their practices.
