Description:
Google is NOT just another search engine! Come to this hands-on class to discover how Google’s fabulous and free tools can radically transform your classroom. This course will focus on many of the free applications from Google that support teaching and learning. Some of the Google applications that will be discussed are Google Docs, Spreadsheets, Forms, Presentations; Google Calendar, Google Advanced and Specialized Search, Google Customized Search, Google Maps, Google Books, Picasa, and Blogger.

In this course you will:
• Create a personal Google Account to access Google Tools
• Receive a brief introduction to various free Google tools and ideas on how the tools can be used in your classroom.
• Receive guided, hands-on practice exploring each of the Google Tools.
• Create a Lesson Plan incorporating one (or more) of the Google Tools into an existing unit.

CESA 5 registration fee:     $150
** Discounted CESA 5 registration fee of $75 for educators who register by Monday, June 27 from full-service ITSS districts: Adams-Friendship, Columbus, Montello, New Lisbon, Pardeeville, Portage, Poynette, Randolph, Rio, Rosholt, Sauk Prairie, and Wisconsin Dells.
Please submit purchase order or check to Susan Fulks, CESA 5, within two weeks of registering for the class. 

Optional Viterbo fee for one graduate credit: $ 90
Viterbo University enrollment forms will be distributed at the first class meeting. Checks or credit card information for Viterbo credit will also be collected at that time.

WES6The teacher uses effective verbal and nonverbal communication techniques as well as instructional media and technology to foster active inquiry, collaboration, and supportive interaction in the classroom.
WES8The teacher understands and uses formal and informal assessment strategies to evaluate and ensure the continuous intellectual, social, and physical development of the pupil.
Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
