Overview

We will be exploring writing in Early Literacy throughout the school year.

Participants will be:

· Engaging in an alignment of CCSS Writing Standard and the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards (WMELS) to determine three year old and 4K expectations,       consider approaches to assessment, as well as the mechanics of writing.

· Examining their practices that are currently being used and engaging in conversations with other participants to support quality early writing practices for young children.

· Receiving a toolkit of resources to support effective writing practices for young       children, which you can use to enhance quality in your Early Literacy program.  These    resources will support developmentally appropriate practice.
