In this two-day workshop (Aug 11 & 12), educators will learn the basics of instructional coaching so that they can better support their colleagues in becoming even more effective educators. This workshop is not designed to give logistical details on Educator Effectiveness, Teachscape, etc., but to provide the coaching skills that will be important in this work. One of most effective strategies for improving teacher learning is to review new PPG and SLO requirements with a coach. Many teachers, instructional leaders and administrators, however, have little experience in instructional coaching. If you're looking for Educator Effectiveness logistics, look to the Step 3 training (http://login.myquickreg.com/event/event.cfm?eventid=8806).

We have developed an optional four-day series that follows-up on the learning of this initial training. As part of these sessions participants will receive personal, formative feedback on their coaching of others. They will also have opportunities to network around how their coaching is going throughout the year.
