In this course you will see what some of the newest, coolest online tools can do: Thinglink, Easel.ly, Glogster, StoryJumper, KidBlogs and more! Tools that have been tried and tested, easy to use, free and truly awesome!
Participants will learn how digital writing apps can support the CCSS in ELA, Math, Science, History, Social Studies & CTE . Learners will have a set of
digital writing tools, learn how they work and how they could be used in the classroom.
In this 4 week online course, participants will explore online tools that support educators to bring innovative teaching and learning experiences to students in the classroom. Participants will research and discuss ways to use these tools to support instruction that empowers students to thrive as a productive learner, worker and citizen. Participants will discuss best practice examples and methodologies for assessing the impact of these tools on writing across the curriculum. this course involves six hours of weekly work that combines readings, interactive learning games, discussion groups, weekly Elluminate sessions and practical assignments delivered via Moodle. Participants begin with an Elluminate orientation session.
Students will leave this course with concrete plans for using some of the digital tools explored in the classroom, along with one technology infused lesson plan.

Persons registering and not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee (substitutions are accepted).
