These 2-day events are intended to show school teams how to use the new WISE tools to analyze school data and plan for and actively begin the school improvement process.
Purpose
WISEdash and other state data tools offer new opportunities to enhance data inquiry for educators. Bring your school improvement team to participate in this two-day workshop using the new WISExplore inquiry process with state data indicators for your school. This active retreat will enhance your leadership team’s skills with “WISE” data tools as they inform your school’s improvement direction. Participate in a guided process to …
• use state data tools and the WISExplore process;
• explore and analyze achievement, growth, attendance, gaps, post-secondary and other state-available data to the student detail level;
• determine data questions, document data findings, and formulate data inferences;
• inform the school improvement process, with connections to annual goals, AMOs, SLO focus areas and strategic action plans.
• Design a school improvement plan as a team using data to identify greatest areas of need.

• Role of the Leadership Team
• Effective and efficient data work
• Navigating, exploring and analyzing achievement, gaps and growth
• Team work time
Day 2
• Data analysis work as teams
• School Learning Objective development
• Facilitating data work with other staff
• Introduction of School Improvement Planning tools and team work time
Cost:
With funding support from DPI, these events are being offered at the reduced cost of $50.00 per School Improvement member for the 2-day training (includes materials and lunch).
