Description: This session will provide an overview of the data provided in WISEdash in relation to students at risk for dropping out of school or not graduating on time. The development and use of the Dropout Early Warning System (DEWS) will be demonstrated, as well as discussion and information about other local data that can be used to enhance the results of the DEWS reports. Participants are encouraged to come in teams with at least one team member having access to WISEdash Secure at the middle grades level (grades 7-9) and with their own list of students considered to be at risk of dropping out who are currently in the middle grades. Extra discussion will be provided regarding the use of the DEWS report and information within an IEP team meeting. Team time to develop a dropout prevention action plan will be provided in the afternoon.

Any registration cancellation must be received by the registration deadline date stated on the event for a refund to be issued. Persons registering and not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee (substitutions are accepted). CESA 12 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email or phone if a cancellation occurs.
