To better meet the needs of member districts and initial educators, the PI-34 consortium will be offering both full day and after school support seminars for initial educators. The CESA 5 Initial Educator Support Seminars are based on the Ten Wisconsin Educator Standards.
The knowledge, skills and dispositions of each standard are discussed and self-assessed during the four support seminars. Reflective practice is modeled as participants look at the standards and their own practice in their classrooms. Collaboration, competence and networking are emphasized. Mentors are invited to participate and provide their insights to the topics being discussed.
The CESA 5 Support Seminars can stand-alone or can be part of your district’s professional development plan for your instructional staff. Conversations are enriched through the participation of veteran staff. The seminars are structured to share experiences and reflect on student outcomes within a regional support system.
