Participants will engage in both structured and independent exploration of a variety of online resources that can be used in enhancing their classroom instruction for the 21st century. Activities are designed to familiarize participants with advanced search features; examine and discuss Internet use concerns (copyright, safety, plagiarism) and how to address these concerns in their classroom; explore interactive learning tools and learning objects; examine online primary resources and how they can enhance technology use in the classroom; and explore Web 2.0 tools, including online writing and graphics from the web, and how they can change the use of the Internet for teachers and students in the classroom. Participants will also explore teacher resources found within portals such as BadgerLink, Thinkfinity, Wisconsin History, Library of Congress and will share ideas through weekly discussions with other participants.


CESA 5 registration fee:     $ 250
**  Discounted registration fee of $ 175 for educators who register by September 17th from full-service ITSS and Ed Tech ARRA Consortium districts: Adams-Friendship, Almond-Bancroft, Auburndale, Cambria-Friesland, Columbus, Lodi, Montello, Necedah, Nekoosa, New Lisbon, Pardeeville, Pittsville, Port Edwards, Portage, Poynette, Princeton, Randolph, Rio, Rosholt, Sauk Prairie, Waupaca, Westfield, Wild Rose, and Wisconsin Dells. 


Registration deadline is Friday, September 17th.  Please submit purchase order or check to Janet Gaber, CESA 5, within two weeks of registration for this class.  Thank you!

Optional Viterbo fee for two graduate credits:  $ 180
Viterbo University enrollment forms and payment information will be sent prior to the start date.  Completed forms and payment must be received by Friday, September 24th, 2010.

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
