Update:
1. Attending this 8-day seminar requires that you have (are currently holding) your TS license.  This is a MUST to attend because we will walk you through your practice modules and allow time to work with other evaluators in your ban--elementary, middle high school, or K-12.
2. Be sure to bring your laptop and ear buds. Not all the training videos are the same; it depends on the ban you are in. Watching the practice video(s) must be done via your ear buds.

This 8-day series of workshops provides school administrators and effectiveness coaches the opportunity to learn and practice together. Participants will complete the Teachscape FOCUS modules preparation for the Teachscape Certification Proficiency Exam. This includes watching teaching videos online and discussion.

This seminar series offers participants an opportunity to learn in a Professional learning Community setting. PLC participants will view classroom videos, work various activities aligned to the Danielson rubrics, and discuss their learning with one another. Completion of the on-line Teachscape FOCUS modules prepares participants for the Teachscape Certification proficiency Exams. The series is facilitated by EE Implementation Coaches.
 
Areas of Focus (by day): Domain 2 and 3 of Danielson Framework
 
Day One: Overview-Review of the Danielson Framework using the Teacher Process Manual and EE Flowchart. Discussion of rater’s personal bias and possible solutions, and how to collect evidence, fact versus judgment.  Domain 2: a) Classroom Environment
 
Day Two: Domain 2 b) Establishing a Culture for Learning and c) Managing Classroom Procedures
 
Day Three: Domain 2: d) Managing Student Behavior and Domain 3: a) Communicating with Students
 
Day Four: Domain 3: b) Using Questioning and Discussion Techniques and c) Engaging Students in Learning
 
Day Five: Domain 3: d) Using Assessment in Instruction.  Summary: Putting It All Together
Day Six: Practice Scoring
 
Day Seven: Certification Proficiency Test – Stage 1
 
Day Eight: Certification Proficiency Test – Stage 2

Cost: $375 for all 8 days per session
 

 


Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a refund if they cancel prior to 3 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Cancellations must either be made on MyQuickReg or by emailing cancel@cesa2.org. Because of our commitment to the presenter and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 3 working days prior to the event or who do not attend the event, will be billed the full fee. CESA 2 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via phone and email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. 

Inclement Weather Policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 2 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been cancelled due to weather conditions.

In-Person Events: Restrictions on our in-person events due to COVID-19 have been lifted. We will be responsive to what's happening within our communities, and guidelines from the CDC and local health agencies for future offerings and will update guidelines when necessary.
