Brain Works can be used as a Tier I, II or III strategy to improve behavior or academics. During the two days of the workshop, participants will practice a variety of physical activities to help anyone (their students as well as themselves) be ready to learn and participate in high-stakes assessments. The goal of Brain Works is to improve reading, recalling, comprehension, all while providing options for positive behavior patterns. Participants will also receive a book that is a valuable resource for when they are back in their classroom or district.
This specialized course has been developed by Terry Haag and draws on her years of experience as a school nurse as well as her private practice. One graduate credit through Viterbo is also available for this course.
The following comment by a past participant describes the evaluation of the course "I can't wait to try these activities in my classroom and with my children to see how it affects their attention, balance, concentration, academic areas, etc."
This event was rescheduled from Jan. 7.
