My name is Kathy Tuttle. I am the northern regional coordinator for the new Transition Improvement Grant (formerly WSTI). I have attached a letter of introduction for more information about myself and the TIG.

County Community on Transition

I am contacting you today with important information related to Ashland/Bayfied County Community on Transition CCoT.

The Transition Improvement Grant (TIG) is a new discretionary grant of the Department of Public Instruction which combines two successful projects; The Wisconsin Statewide Transition Initiative (WSTI) and the Wisconsin Post High School Outcomes Survey (WPHSOS) into one dynamic statewide transition improvement effort.  I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the Transition Improvement Grant (TIG) Northern Regional Coordinator.   I will be providing transition support to all districts in CESAs 8, 9, & 12 and will continue the work of Jen Ledin with your County Community on Transition (CCoT).

While I recently moved to the Land-o-Lakes area, I have over 25 years of teaching experience and training in special education and transition practices from the Baraboo School District.  I have a strong passion for transition and look forward to meeting and collaborating with all the talented people within the Ashland/Bayfied  counties in the coming months as we work together to improve postsecondary outcomes for students with disabilities.

At a local and regional level, the focus of the Transition Improvement Grant Team (see a complete list of regional staff contact information on the reverse side of this letter) will be to promote community engagement through local C-CoT’s.  We will invite and encourage a representative from every school district and agency that provides support and services related to transition to connect with their local C-CoT’s in all counties.

I look forward to meeting you all and collaborating with the Ashland/Bayfield CCoT.

Sincerely,

BEFORE REGISTERING FOR THIS WORKSHOP PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR DISTRICT'S APPROVAL TO ATTEND.
