If your district is searching for ways to improve adolescent literacy practices, or if you are a teacher who works with adolescent readers with widely varying abilities, we invite you to join our networking group. As educators, we are our own best resources, and several districts in CESA 5 are meeting the literacy needs of struggling students in unique and effective ways.
This networking opportunity is perfect for reading specialists, coaches and teachers of adolescents, which typically includes students in grades 4-12.
Topic: Gender
We will spend the day discussing how gender impacts adolescent literacy and school success. Morning programming includes a presentation from the principal and staff from Beaver Dam Middle School regarding their same-sex classrooms.
