Day 1 of trainings will cover the following topics:

WSPEI Overview – Review of WSPEI grant history, grant goals, and focus of work.

WSPEI Data System – Review data system with new District Family Engagement Liaisons so that they become familiar with the system and the different types of information collected.

Confidentiality – Review of confidentiality laws, disclosure, policies, and requirements.

Unauthorized Practice of Law - Raise awareness regarding the significance of the unauthorized practice (UPL) among non-attorney parent/family support persons.

Navigating the Special Education Maze - Understand basic information about special education and learn about resources and tools.
