You’re Invited...Wisconsin’s Children Moving Forward: OSEP Child Outcomes Training


To help school districts and county programs prepare to report Child Outcomes as required by State Performance Plan Indicators #3 and #7, Wisconsin’s Children Moving Forward: OSEP Child Outcomes training will be offered on May 7th, 2010.

Purpose of the OSEP Child Outcomes Training:
     Participants will understand:

  • the federal & state mandates to collect information on 3 OSEP Child Outcomes
  • how to use on-going assessment information to enhance service planning and improve child outcomes
  • how to summarize data using the Early Childhood Outcomes Summary Form (COSF) utilizing a team decision-making approach
  • how to report OSEP Child Outcomes Data to appropriate state departments

Presenters: Ruth Chvojicek, Statewide Child Outcomes Coordinator and Joan Rice, EC Program Support Teacher, CESA 5

Audience: ECSE Teachers, Speech/Language Pathologists, Directors of Special Education, School Psychologists, Birth-to-Three Service Coordinators and Program Managers PST’s, and LEA Representatives. Please attend in teams from counties and school districts that will be collecting and reporting OSEP data to the DPI or DHS.

WES2The teacher understands how children with broad ranges of ability learn and provides instruction that supports their intellectual, social, and personal development.
WES3The teacher understands how pupils differ in their approaches to learning and the barriers that impede learning and can adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of pupils, including those with disabilities and exceptionalities.
WES8The teacher understands and uses formal and informal assessment strategies to evaluate and ensure the continuous intellectual, social, and physical development of the pupil.
Special Education
Preschool Outcomespercent of preschool children who demonstrate improved social/emotional, knowledge/language and behavior skills
Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
