As the 2014-15 school year rapidly approaches, there are many expectations that our Career and Technical Educators need to meet. Together at CESA, we are preparing a series of trainings for this group to help prepare them for this academic year. During this academic year, educators will be expected to write student learner objectives as part of the new evaluation system. For a CTE teacher to write an accurate SLO, they need to have data gathered from high quality assessments. High quality assessments are built from a solid standards based curriculum which is where we want to start!
Please join us for a series of trainings that will help educators prepare for the 2014-15 school year. These trainings are free for CAI A and B service districts and Carl Perkins Consortium (these districts will also receive reimbursement for subs and mileage for one car per district for the 2013/14 school year trainings-budget pending for the 2014-15 trainings). The cost for all other participants is $125 per session.
Educators MUST bring data to the August trainings to determine need for Educator Effectiveness Plan!
Goal: Help educators gather and develop the necessary components needed for a successful 2014-15 school year
- Objective 1: Create a usable standards based curriculum map
- Objective 2: Create assessments that support the curriculum AND gather appropriate data for educator effectiveness
- Objective 3: Analyze department data and create SLO’s for start of the fall educator evaluation system
