Promoting Literacy and Language Development in Young Children
Description: With the increased emphasis on literacy development and the implementation of PALS PreK, teachers need strategies to embed literacy in developmentally appropriate play-based, language-rich routines and activities throughout the day.
We will discuss ways to "put it all together"--to foster literacy, language, social emotional development and make learning meaningful and fun for young children.

This workshop will include:
- Engaging activities to promote oral language and literacy
- Follow-up activities to support PreK PALS
- Opportunities to network with other early educators
- Strategies for supporting language and literacy through play
- Review of connection between Common Core and WI Model Early Learning Standards
