There are many iPod/iPad apps to use with students with special needs, but before you start using apps with students, you need to know how to set up, manage and use your device. This basics workshop will show you "from the beginning" how to set up and use an iPod/iPad with students who have special challenges. Resources for accessories, protective cases, switch access and finding free and paid apps for students with special needs will be shared. This overview will include General and Accessibility settings, iTunes management of apps, podcasts and iTunes U. Apps for AAC, social skills, literacy, math, data collection, behavior management, music, songs, art and games will be shared and shown. Participants should bring an iPod/iPad if possible. If you want to download any of the free (or paid) apps, you must have an iTunes account set up including a username and password. Some devices (iPad &/or iPod Touch) are available to use on a "first come, first served" basis. Please contact Judi Cumley (cumleyj@cesa5.org) to reserve a device for the training.

Please note: If you do not receive a confirmation email, you have not been registered. Please contact JoAnn Senzig for any questions about registration
