With STEM education booming and engineering now a key part of the Next Gen Science Standards, maker spaces are becoming more and more popular in schools across the country.  We have a fantastic maker space resource in Madison at Sector 67 (www.sector67.org).  Chris Meyer, the founder of Sector 67, will facilitate this workshop.  We’re still planning the specifics, but will likely include such topics as Google Sketch-Up and 3D printing, basic electronics (with Drawdio or Arduino kits), making and engineering wind turbines, and designing with Minecraft.  We will also discuss ideas for building your own maker spaces in your schools.  This workshop will be limited to 15 teachers

Cost: $100

Lunch will be on your own; there are several restaurants within walking distance of Sector 67.
