Positive Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a proactive systems approach for creating and maintaining safe and effective learning environments in schools and ensuring that all students have the social/emotional skills needed for success.  This overview session is for district leadership teams interested in the why, what, and how of implementing a School-wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (SW-PBIS).  The overiew will describe the reationale, model and explanation of the step-by-step implmeentaiton of all three tiers of SW-PBIS and the steps for getting started including district commitments necesssary for implementing this systems model.

Target Audience:  District leadership teams of 3-5 members including district administrators, building administrators, pupil service directors/coordinators, teacher leaders, and potential site-coaches.
