Day 1: This session will help teams establish a seamless system of support from Teir 1/Universal to Tier 2/Secondary Levels of Intervention. Each team will learn how to use their Tier 1/Universal data to target groups of students in need of Tier 2/Secondary Levels of Support. A continuum of Tier 2/Secondary interventions to support the behavior of students who are not responding to Tier 1/Universal interventions and who are at-risk for behavior and academic failure, including those with disabilities will be covered.
Target Audience: This training should be attended by building level secondary systems planning teams (building administrator, internal coach, special and general education teachers, social worker and/or psychologist, support staff, and family and community members) and Secondary/Tertiary District Coach.

Day 2: This session will help teams to create a continuum of Simple Tier 2/Secondary Interventions. Participants will learn how to implement Check-In/Check-Out, Social/Academic Instructional Groups and Mentoring (Check-N-Connect).
Target Audience: This training should be attended by building level secondary systems planning teams.
Date: June 27, 2013
Day 3: This session will provide an introduction to the concepts and systems of functional assessment and behavior intervention planning to support individual students’ behavior. This session will focus on brief Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA); the process, practices and tools.
Target Audience: This training should be attended by designated building-based FBA/BIP facilitators such as School Psychologists, School Social Workers, School Counselors, Behavior Interventions or Special Educators; and those who will be coaching FBA/BIP facilitators.

Day 4: To provide an introduction to the concepts and systems of functional assessment and behavior intervention planning to support individual students’ behavior. This session will focus on simple functional assessment tools, brief intervention planning and progress-monitoring of plans.
Target Audience: This training should be attended by designated building-based FBA/BIP facilitators such as School Psychologists, School Social Workers, School Counselors, Behavior Interventions or Special Educators; and those who will be coaching FBA/BIP facilitators, and other members of the building-based secondary-level problem-solving team.

Cost: Tier 2 cost is $2,200.00 for a team of 6 which includes Team Training of four days and technical assistance from Regional Technical Assistance Coordinators. Each team member over 6 will be charged an additional $25.00 for material and meals.
