Day 1 - Introduction to Autism and Educational Evaluation—This introduction to autism will provide general knowledge about autism spectrum disorders, offering a parent/practitioner’s perspective describing how autism impacts living and learning. The main issues related to autism including the development of language and communication, socialization, and sensory considerations will be presented. This day is designed for participants with limited background in autism or for those who would like a refresher.  Current resources and effective interventions will be discussed.
 

Cost:   $75.00 per person/per day for districts purchasing Autism-Behavioral Intervention Services or Student Needs Professional Development ~ Lunch & handouts are included.
            $115.00 per person/per day for non-member districts ~ Lunch & handouts are included.
            A $50.00 discount will be given to those who register for ALL 4 days of training.

Viterbo University graduate credit available at $110 per graduate credit
Please note the $110 per graduate credit is an additional cost.
2 graduate credits (must attend ALL 4 days of training)
1 graduate credit (must attend 2 days of training)

 

CANCELLATION POLICY: Any registration cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the scheduled date to receive a refund or avoid invoicing. CESA 8 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 8 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. Registered participants not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee.
