Event Description:

CREATE Wisconsin will be hosting a Beyond Diversity I training September 24-25, 2013 at the Madison Marriott West Hotel and Conference Center located in Middleton, Wi. Beyond Diversity is a powerful, personally transforming two-day seminar designed to help teachers, students, parents, and administrators understand the impact of race on student learning and investigate the role that racism plays in institutionalizing academic achievement disparities.

Audience: District Administrators, Principals, Teachers, All Staff, Parents and Community Members. This training is also open to parents and business people.

Notes:

  • Beyond Diversity I is a full 2 day training. Participants are expected to attend both days.
  • Homework will be assigned during the training. Individual internet access is highly recommended.

  • Registration for this event is online only.
  • Due to the level of interest in the Beyond Diversity I training and limited seating available, CREATE Wisconsin cannot accommodate requests to hold/reserve registration slots. Any cancellations received for this event will automatically revert to the wait-list once the capacity for this event has been reached.
  • Registration closes August 30, 2013.
  • No walk-ins or substitutions will be accepted for this event.

Reservation Notes:

  • The room block for the Beyond Diversity I training will be held until September 3, 2013.
  • CREATE Wisconsin does not make room reservations, individual registrants must contact the hotel and reference the CREATE Beyond Diversity room block.
  • Hotel reservations and parking fees are additional fees and are the responsibility of each registrant.
  • Attendees must submit proof of tax exemption upon check-in on site.
  • Refer to the CREATE Beyond Diversity room block when placing reservations.

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before event in order for a full conference fee refund to be issued (full refunds do not include service fees. Service fees are nonrefundable).Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued. Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs.
