9:00 a.m. - 12:00 Noon:  Funding an RtI System

Learn about using IDEA funds to fund intervention supports for the entire school population.  Schoolwide Set-Aside and CEIS will be explained, and you will have the opportunity to calculate those amounts for your district.  Please bring current numbers of students with disabilities per school in order to complete these calculations.  You will learn allowable costs which can be funded within the supplement vs. supplant guidelines and to ensure that you will meet maintenance of effort.  Network with other districts to see how they utilize federal, state, and local funding sources to support RtI systems.

12:30 - 3:30 p.m.:  Meeting Maintenance of Effort in Tough Fiscal Times

This session will examine the requirements of Maintenance of Effort (MOE) within IDEA funding, which many schools failed to meet during fiscal year 2012.  Learn about future compliance, resolution and planning ahead given conditions of cutbacks and retirements.  Decode the requirements and exemptions and get individualized Q & A.
