Enriching Your GT Reading Instruction in Grades 6, 7, & 8

Three FREE individual grade level workshops for gifted and talented
educators will be held at CESA 8 Office on:

March 19, 2013 — 6th Grade
April 9, 2013 — 7th Grade
April 25, 2013 — 8th Grade

Education is a changing world. In the midst of learning and applying the English-Language Arts Common Core State Standards, we are also
expected to differentiate our instruction and have ALL students – from the lowest to the highest – show growth. There is often support for struggling learners, but what about your gifted and talented students who deserve to be challenged too?

In this conference, you will

• view 4 unique units built around the Common Core Standards with general education overviews.
• practice specific activities and lessons intended to challenge your
• gifted and talented students.
• network with other ELA educators to gain ideas and contacts for
• future reference.
• leave with resources and materials that are classroom-ready.

Participants will receive material, continental breakfast, lunch, and their district will receive up to $100 reimbursement for sub costs.

Each of these workshops are limited to 20 participants so register early.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY: Any registration cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the scheduled date to receive a refund or avoid invoicing. CESA 8 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 8 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. Registered participants not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee.
