STEM Connects Summer Institute Week 2

The 2013 STEM Connects: Enhancing Teacher Quality and Student Proficiency grant will focus on Geometry. Field experience will be focusing on agriculture. The major science focus will be on the Next Generation Science Standards for K-12.

• Teachers will receive a stipend of $500 for each week.
• Teaching materials, handouts, travel reimbursement, lunch, and accommodations are provided.
• Ongoing professional development is planned.
• Onsite coaching and support is available as you apply what you learned to your work with students in the classroom.
• Resources and funds are provided for a Family Math Event in your district.
• A chance to network with other dedicated teachers in CESA 5.
• Wisconsin Math Council Membership and Green Lake Math Conference (May 2012) or WI Society of Science Teachers Conference
• 5 Graduate credits from UW-Platteville
   

 

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
