Registration Fee - $50.00Participants can attend one or both presentations.

We invite you to set aside the afternoon of March 24, 2010 for the opportunity to participate in a live video presentation with nationally recognized experts, followed by the opportunity to respond, confer, and discuss what you have learned with colleagues in your region.

Presentations:

The Principal’s Role in Moving Adolescent Literacy Forward (Time 12:15-2:15)
(Designed for Middle School and High School Staff)       Speaker: Quality Quinn
• Building a culture of literacy across content areas
• Assessment: effective strategies and tools
• Intervention: how to do it well
• How principals can monitor what’s being done in the classroom

Leading Differentiated Instruction (Time 2:30-4:30)
(Designed for Elementary Staff)      Speaker: Diane Heacox
• How principals know what good DI looks and sounds like in the classroom
• Management techniques to share with teachers
• How to help teachers tweak/change what they are doing to be more effective
• DI for all students including special education/gifted & talented students

 

 

Participant Cancellation Policy: You must contact CESA #3 at least one week prior to the scheduled event to cancel and receive a full refund of your registration fee. Cancellations not received at least one week prior to the registered event will be charged the full registration fee. CESA #3 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot. Accommodations: If you need an accommodation to participate including interpreter services (sign language or other spoken language) please email the workshop contact to set up these services. A two-week notice is appreciated. CESA #3 is handicapped accessible.
