Math 101 emphasizes the skilled teaching necessary to support students moving forward.   This course is designed for support teachers who want to understand core strategies for helping students comprehend mathematics concepts and apply ideas to real life scenarios, not simply go through a procedure.  Using Riccomini and Witzel’s book, Response to Intervention in Math (included as part of your registration materials) as our foundational text, participants will be actively involved in each session exploring the dynamics of learning mathematics with a focus on the Common Core State Standards.

Presenters:
Kevin Anderson, Ph.D., Math and Science Specialist, CESA #2
Wade Tillett, Ph.D., UW-Whitewater Math Education Professor
