 Audience

  • District teams of three or more, including K–12 grade-level teachers, mathematics instructors/ specialists, mathematics coaches, special educators, instructional leaders, building administrators, district curriculum administrators. (We recommend a team of six, with representation from elementary, middle, and high school levels.)
  • District teams must include a district and/or school-level administrator.
  • All district team members are required to attend all three days of the training

Objectives

  • Investigate the role of high quality universal mathematics instruction within Wisconsin’s RtI framework
  • Understand the need for a strong systemic foundation built upon common beliefs on mathematics instruction and the Common Core State Standards
  • Examine recommended practices from the?National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and the Common Core State Standards in Mathematics (CCSSM), including instruction, instructional time, grouping, and environment
  • Apply understandings to current district universal mathematics program and create an action plan for improvement

Preparation

  • Participants should bring documentation of their current mathematics programs, practices, and strategies used to deliver K–12 universal mathematics instruction.

 Cost
$150 per participant. Fee includes breakfast, lunch, snack, materials and texts for all three sessions.

Refund offered if cancelling from workshop 7 days prior to the start date.  

CANCELLATION POLICY: Any registration cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the training date for a refund to be issued. Cancellations for the PBIS Conference must be received 30 days in advance. Persons registering and not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee. The Wisconsin RtI Centers reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email or phone if a cancellation occurs.
