Description:
Bridging Neurology is a presentation that combines relationships, sensitivity, challenging behavior and learning differences. Through video and first hand accounts, Kate presents the experience of autism. Participants are guided through activities that offer a direct perspective of being on the autism spectrum, which provides the basis for our discussion on creating bridges for relationship, learning and a better life experience for our students with autism. There will be a heavy emphasis on how to problem solve and develop supports around challenging behavior that students may be exhibiting. Please come prepared to discuss any curiosities and challenges you are currently experiencing with the individuals in your life with autism.
