The Next Generation Science Standards

The second draft of the national science standards designed by Achieve, Inc., was released on January 8, 2013. The standards document will be available for public comment for three weeks in January. Participants will dig into the new material in the standards, including all the new appendices grade level teams will then work on a roadmap to bridge the current Model Academic Standards to full K-12 implementation of the Next Generation Standards.

Audience: Administrators, Curriculum Directors, and K-12 Science Educators are encouraged to attend.

Cost: $20 per participant from CESA 8 School Districts

CANCELLATION POLICY: Any registration cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the scheduled date to receive a refund or avoid invoicing. CESA 8 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 8 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. Registered participants not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee.
