Activities for the Cognitively Severe (Updated 1/15/13)

Focus will be on implementing functional and meaningful activities for the cognitively severe. The session will focus on creating and collaborating with other professionals in a make, take, and share session on how to engage and teach these students. There will be practice and discussion with activities.

Day 1 is specifically designed for learning skills and creating materials to help understand and teach children with severe cognitive impairments.

Day 2 is for the teacher to network with others and try Day 1 activities out.

Dates: Day 1: March 19, 2013
             Day 2: March 20, 2013

Time: Day 1: 9:00 am - 3:30 pm (lunch will be provided)
           Day 2: 9:00 am - 2:00 pm (lunch will be provided)

Location: CESA 10 Conference Center, 725 West Park Avenue, Chippewa Falls

Population: Special Education Teachers, Speech Language Pathologists, and Occupational Therapists

Registration Fee: No charge for CESA 10 CSPD member districts; $50 for non-member districts
