9:00 - 9:30 AM - Introductions
9:30 - 10:30 AM - During our final meeting of the 2011-12 school year, the group decided we would use some of our time together for our own professional learning. We decided to use some of our time together to pursue our own professional learning through reading and processing a scholarly article on a topic related to gifted and talented education. In pursuit of this goal, we will read the follow articles "The Theory and Practice of Identifying Students for Gifted Education Services" by Tamara Fisher and "Acceleration" published in National Association of Gifted Children journal. We will process the reading using a Four "A"s protocol. The protocol is posted with the links for the articles.

11:00 - Noon - District sharing
Noon - 1:00 PM - Lunch and Networking
Learning Outcomes
- Participants will have the opportunity to process a scholarly journal article through the use of the "Three Levels of Text Protocol".
- Participants will have the opportunity to get updates from DPI and CESA.
- Participants will have the opportunity to network with fellow GT Coordinators.
