Workshop Announcement for Carl Perkins CTE Teachers:

Q:    Are you a new Career and Technical Education teacher in your school district?

         If YES, you need to attend this workshop.

Q:    Have you developed at least one POS using the Career Cluster format for your CTE discipline?

         If NO, you need to attend this workshop.

Q:    Are your Programs of Study fully published on the State Career Cluster website at            www.wicareerpathways.org?

         If NO, you need to attend this workshop.

Q:    Are you interested in fully developing at least one more Program of Study for students in your CTE program?  If YES, you need to attend this workshop.

 

Beginning with the 2013-14 school year, in order to access Carl Perkins federal funds, you must have at least one Program of Study developed and published on the state Career Cluster website.  Please see the attached listing of CESA #12 Carl Perkins Consortium Schools Career Pathways already published on the website.

 

CESA 12 and WITC are sponsoring a one-day workshop for CTE teachers who are not familiar with the federal and state Career Pathway initiative and website; who are new to their school district and need to change or develop new career pathways; who want to develop new career pathways for students; and who have not published existing career pathways on the state Career Cluster website.   Fred Schlichting, CESA 12 LVEC, and Barbara Landstrom, WITC Director of Assessment and Tech Prep, will introduce teachers to the state Career Pathways website to develop a template for a Program of Study and publish the template on the state website.  NOTE:  You will need to bring your own laptop computer for this workshop.

FEES:  No fee for Vocational Education Consortium Members (Bayfield, Butternut, Chequamegon, Drummond, Hurley, Maple, Mellen, Mercer, Northwood, Phillips, South Shore, Solon Springs, Superior, Washburn, Winter).

 $125.00 per person for Non-consortium members
All registrations include lunch, refreshments, and materials.

 

REIMBURSEMENT AVAILABLE for substitutes and mileage

for Carl Perkins Consortium members.

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received by the registration deadline date stated on the event for a refund to be issued. Persons registering and not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee (substitutions are accepted). CESA 12 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email or phone if a cancellation occurs.

Weather conditions:

If a workshop has been canceled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. Participants will be notified via email through myQuickReg.com if a cancellation occurs. Please make sure all your contact information is correct on myQuickReg.com
