Digging Deeper into the Smarter Balanced Assessment

We will cover claims 1 and 2 of the Smarter Balanced, including Concepts and Procedures and Problem Solving for Math and Reading and Writing for ELA. School leaders will dig deeper into each of these claims and learn more about how each is being addressed in item creation.

Presenters will help to break down all aspect of individual test items at multiple grade levels. They will help participants get a clearer view of what is being asked of our students during this assessment.

All participants will receive a flash drive with all new released items from the Smarter Balanced consortium. Participants are asked to bring lap tops for their use in the workshop.
 

Cost: $50 per participant from CESA 8 Curriculum Instruction School Districts
           $100 per participant for all other participants.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Any registration cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the scheduled date to receive a refund or avoid invoicing. CESA 8 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 8 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. Registered participants not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee.
