Singapore Math Computational Strategies

 This workshop will focus on Singapore Math Computational Strategies.

The focus will be toward more effective math instruction and to move away from an emphasis on teaching computation as a series of rote rules.  This workshop will focus on developing student comprehension of computation through conceptual understanding of what to do and why.  We will explore multiple strategies for solving computation problems so that we can better meet all student needs.  The goal of this workshop is to help you develop students who not only are capable of solving computational problems, but who also truly understand computation and can apply their thinking to new problem situations. 

TARGET AUDIENCE:
This workshop is for special education teachers, and Title I math teachers that have not attended Carole’s previous trainings.

COST:
$50.00 per participant for SNPD member districts
$100.00 per participant for SNPD non-member districts
 

CANCELLATION POLICY: Any registration cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the scheduled date to receive a refund or avoid invoicing.
