DAY 1 ONLY - Drug Impairment Training for Educational Professionals
The purpose of this two-day training is to enable education professionals to identify chemically impaired individuals and types of drugs for the purpose of ensuring a safe learning environment.
Day 1 is designed to be a general information day which includes:
- Introduction and overview
- Drugs in society
- Policy, procedures, and roles
- Drug identification
- Overview of alcohol
- Drug categories and their observable effects
- Issues involving the law
- Contacting parents
- References
Day 2 is designed to be a skills training day which includes:
- Eye examinations
- Vital signs
- Divided attention tests
- Poly-drug use
- Assessment Process
Objectives of this training are the following:
Describe the involvement of drugs in school and society
Name the seven drug categories and recognize their effects
Describe drug impairment signs and symptoms
Properly interpret the results of your observations
Cost $50.00 for Day 1 only; $100.00 for day 1 and 2. Checks payable to CESA 4. Includes Continental Breakfast, Lunch and Participant Manual.

Credit: Graduate credit from Viterbo University is available for an additional cost of $200; participant must attend both days. Checks payable to Viterbo University. Registration taken care of at workshop site.

**REGISTRATION DEADLINE ONE WEEK PRIOR TO WORKSHOP**
Participant Cancellation Policy:
You must contact CESA 4 to cancel attendance one week prior to the scheduled event unless otherwise stated in the individual event details. CESA 4 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 4 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. CESA 4 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot.
Dietary Restrictions:
Because of the number of meals served, number of ingredients used, and food product changes from vendors, we cannot guarantee dietary restrictions as indicated in a user's myQuickReg profile will be accommodated. Participants with dietary restrictions such as food allergies should plan to bring their own refreshments.
Weather Conditions:
If a workshop has been cancelled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. If weather conditions are questionable, please call CESA 4 Voice Mail at (608) 786-4800; Toll Free (800) 514-3075. A message will be posted regarding workshop weather cancellations.
Additional Accommodations:
