 Is It That Time Already?

The answer is Yes!!! It is almost time to make decisions about USDA Foods for the 13/14 school year.

Please read the questions below to decide if you are ready:

1. Would you like to have more control over the selection of USDA food products?
2. Is receiving and storage of USDA monthly food deliveries an issue for your district or school?
3. Would you like to utilize your USDA food dollars on different products and fresh produce that make sense for your menu?
4. Have you attended the DPI Direct Diversion training and come away overwhelmed by the complexity of the process?
5. Have you done a year of Direct Diversion but still feel unsure about your processes?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, please consider joining other schools within our co-op currently considering the flexibility and positive outcomes of Direct Diversion for the school year 2013 - 14.

The process is not as complicated as you might think, thanks to your cooperative membership. A team including CESA staff and experienced directors will guide you through this individualized hands-on workshop tailored to support you through the process. We will present an overview of the process and
its positive benefits to your schools. You will leave the workshop with your survey ready to complete if not submitted (submission dates depend upon the DPI system). The best part, you will also be assigned an experienced Director Mentor to support your process and answer any questions that come up following the workshop and beyond. This value added service is being provided through your association with the CESA Purchasing Cooperative.

Please bring a laptop with you; some laptops will be available for the training.
