Description
This full day training is intended to inform school personnel how to implement Effective Practices for DPI's New IEP: Postsecondary Transition Plan (PTP) application and explore a variety of new transition resources. The PTP application includes a multitude of resources that can be utilized when creating high quality transition plans.

In addition, this training will preview and highlight the new and improved WSTI website and the new Transition Resources for Youth (TR4Y) website. Trainer will also highlight new tools for families and youth. This training has been developed in collaboration with DPI and WSTI.  

NOTE: This training is not a "how to use" the PTP application. Online training modules on how to use the PTP application can be found on DPI's website at http://dpi.wi.gov/sped/spp-transition.html and can be completed at your own pace

 

Workshop Objectives
Identify the new requirements regarding Indicator 13
Explore the PTP software program to learn about the imbedded resources
Increase awareness of effective practices that produce desired post-school outcomes
Apply effective practice when writing student transition plans
Review methods to engage the student in each step of the transition planning process
Review the new WSTI website and identify resources that are available there

Who should attend?
Educators who work with students of transition age.

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before event in order for a full conference fee refund to be issued (full refunds do not include service fees. Service fees are nonrefundable).Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued. Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs.
