Canceled -Curriculum Companion Math Performance Tasks for Grades 3-5

Attention Curriculum Companion Users:
CESA 8 will host grade level workshops for those districts that are using Curriculum Companion. Each day long workshop will focus on developing math performance tasks for the inquiry modules. Mathematical Tasks are questions, problems, scenarios, or prompts that demand engagement in concepts and that stimulate students to make purposeful connections to meaning or relevant mathematical ideas. This workshop will allow teachers to collaborate with teachers from other districts to develop high rigor math tasks that can used for instruction and assessment. Teachers will use Curriculum Companion’s Mathematics Task Criteria to develop and evaluate high cognitive complex tasks. Teachers will identify the math practice standards that align with each task. Teachers will also develop rubrics to assess each performance tasks.
 

Cost: $50 per participants for school districts who are members of CESA 8 Curriculum Instruction and Assessment Department
          $100 per participant for all other school districts

CANCELLATION POLICY: Any registration cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the scheduled date to receive a refund or avoid invoicing. CESA 8 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 8 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. Registered participants not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 8 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment or inclement weather. Participants will be notified via email through myQuickReg.com if a cancellation occurs.
