This Distance Ed presentation will be at the CESA 6 office in Oshkosh.

Be among the first to find out more about the American Library Association award winners announced in January.  Join Kathleen T.Horning, Megan Schliesman, Merri Lindgren of the Cooperative Children's Book Center (CCBC) as they discuss the winners and honor books of the 2009 Newberry and Caldecott awards, the Batchelder Award (for translated literature, the Coretta Scott King Award (for distinguished work by an African American author and an African American artist), the Michael L. Printz Award (for distinguished young adult literature), and the Robert F Sibert Award (for outstanding nonfiction).

In addition, the CCBC librarians will discuss the winner of the 2008 Charlotte Zolotow Award, administered by the CCBC, which recognizes outstanding writing in a picture book for children birth through 7.  All books will be shown via video throughout the presentation.  Target audiences are K-12 teachers and librarians.  These sessions are sponsored by the Four Lakes Distance Education Network.
