This course will include an overview of the contents and design of the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards and how to apply them within any early learning classroom setting.
Activities will emphasize:
• How to plan for the ‘whole child’ using the WMELS as a guide
• How to plan for and implement developmentally appropriate activities with targeted objectives;
• How to assess children’s growth and development using both informal and formal assessment strategies.
• Meet DPI Teacher License Standards 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 & 10

Audience: EC & Preschool Teachers, 4/5K Teachers, Head Start Teachers, Child Care Providers
