Overview
This workshop will focus on the “Working at Gaining Employment Skills” curriculum (WAGES). The day will begin with a discussion of the conceptual and research foundation for the WAGES curriculum. Participants will learn about lesson format, activities, and evaluation within the curriculum for the remainder of the day. The WAGES curriculum consists of 33 lessons that could be completed within a 9-week term and is divided into 5 units: Introduction, Locus of Control, Teamwork, Communication, and Problem Solving. Participants will receive a copy of the WAGES curriculum.
Presenter
Jen Ledin is a Transition Coordinator for CESA 12 and the Wisconsin Statewide Transition Initiative (WSTI). She has been a special education teacher for the past 21 years, with the last 14 years at CESA 12 as a teacher of the Deaf and hard of hearing and transition coordinator. Jen became a certified trainer in Ruby Payne’s “Framework for Understanding Poverty” in 2006 and has now completed her lifetime trainer certificate.

$50 per participant for CESA #12 Transition Consortium Districts (Ashland, Bayfield, Butternut, Chequamegon, Drummond, Hayward, Hurley, Maple, Mellen, Mercer, Northwood, South Shore, Superior and Washburn)
$125 per participant for Non-Transition Consortium Districts (Phillips, Solon Springs and Winter)
Registration Fee (After December 5, 2012)

Cancellation Policy:
Any registration cancellation must be received by the registration deadline date stated on the event for a refund to be issued. Persons registering and not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee (substitutions are accepted). CESA 12 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email or phone if a cancellation occurs.Weather conditions:
