PARASeries #3 - Communication

All Para Series will be online, but there will be work/technical assistance time in the CESA 5 downstairs Conference Room from 8:00-11:00 am.

Registration fee for each session is $30.00 or all four sessions for $100.00.

PARA Series Session 3: Communication 2/14/13 - 3/14/13

The third session of the PARA Series will be about communication skills. As we know, communication is a key component of education. We communicate each day with our students, teachers, colleagues, administrators, and parents. You will learn to communicate more with each of these groups of people in a professional manner and have other paraprofessionals to speak with about how they communicate effectively in their district. We will also talk about confidentiality and its importance. It will an excellent source of collaboration with colleagues within a Professional Learning Community (PLC) to discuss communication skills. This session will be completed online, but there will be an introductory meeting on February 14th (not mandatory) for those of you who would like to come in and familiarize yourself with Moodle and the Online portion of the series. Please feel free to join us if you would like to meet face-to-face before beginning your journey through the PARA Series and/or if you would like some work time.

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
