PARASeries #1-Special Ed Basics

All Para Series will be online, but there will be work/technical assistance time in the CESA 5 downstairs Conference Room from 8:00-11:00 am.

Registration fee for each session is $30.00 or all four sessions for $100.00.

PARA Series Session 1: Special Education Basics 10/23/12 - 11/23/12

The first session in the PARA Series is about Special Education Basics and will overview Disabilities and Related Services, IEPs, Response to Intervention, PBIS, Seclusion and Restraint, and your roll as a paraprofessional, as well as forming a Professional Learning Community (PLC) in which you and other paraprofessionals can engage in deep, meaningful discussions online in order to learn from each other on these topics and to see how they are being utilized in the various school districts around the area. This session will be completed online, but there will be an introductory meeting on October 23rd (not mandatory) for those of you who would like to come in and familiarize yourself with Moodle and the Online portion of the series. Please feel free to join us if you would like to meet face-to-face before beginning your journey through the PARA Series and/or if you would like some work time.

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
