Audience: 6-12 Content Area Teachers: Science, Social Studies, English, Math, Tech. Ed, Ag. Science, FCS, Business Ed., Marketing
Attend this interactive workshop that aims to answer:
How will Wisconsin’s adoption of the Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts and Literacy in History/Social Studies and Science/Technical Subjects change instruction in middle and high school classrooms?
This workshop examines literacy practices that boost comprehension as well as mentor students as readers of complex texts as they strive to meet the literacy challenges within the different academic disciplines they study.
Registration Cost: $150 per person
Special Pricing (will be applied at the time of billing):
*Adolescent Literacy Leaders Network (ALLN) Member Special Pricing: ALLN Member FREE when you register a content area teacher from your district.
*CESA #4 Perkins Consortium Members: Each member district receives one FREE seat for a CTE teacher.
Participant Cancellation Policy:
You must contact CESA 4 to cancel attendance one week prior to the scheduled event unless otherwise stated in the individual event details. CESA 4 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 4 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. CESA 4 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot.
Dietary Restrictions:
Because of the number of meals served, number of ingredients used, and food product changes from vendors, we cannot guarantee dietary restrictions as indicated in a user's myQuickReg profile will be accommodated. Participants with dietary restrictions such as food allergies should plan to bring their own refreshments.
Weather Conditions:
If a workshop has been cancelled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. If weather conditions are questionable, please call CESA 4 Voice Mail at (608) 786-4800; Toll Free (800) 514-3075. A message will be posted regarding workshop weather cancellations.
Additional Accommodations:
