The focus of this workshop will be exploring current use of technology for either increasing independence, practicing life skills, and/or teaching life situations for transitional youth. The topics discussed and shared can be applied and modified for differing levels and abilities. There will be demonstrations of actual technology uses that teachers in CESA 10 are implementing. This workshop will explore low tech to high tech uses for transition. Please come prepared to share what you are doing with technology in your classroom that is working for you and your students. Examples of technology that will be demonstrated are video modeling, Smart Notebook, Microsoft Powerpoint, Audacity, iPad, iPhone, and photos.

Please bring the following: a laptop with Powerpoint and Smart Notebook software loaded (and ready to go) and a flash drive. Additional items you may want to bring are cameras, phones, mp3 players, iPads or tablets (like iPad) for explorations of their uses.
